Why use this?
Preserve a topic's knowledge in a reusable format that serves both people and AI agents — and still works manually if you lose access to the agent.
The reason to use a wskill is to preserve knowledge in a reusable format. This matters more as work shifts to AI: knowledge that lives only in someone's head, or only inside a model, is easily lost. Capturing a topic once as self-contained data keeps it durable, shareable, and easy to keep current.
The same source also produces a Claude Code skill, so an AI agent can carry out the topic's tasks for you. And because a wskill stands on its own, if you ever lose access to the agent you can still follow it by hand — the knowledge and its processes stay usable either way.
